Position:     Wenatchee Airport Shuttle Driver

Hours:        Shifts vary based on flight times and business levels, some early morning, some late night.

Location:    Wenatchee and surrounding areas

Pay Rate:   $9.50-11 hourly, DOE, overtime after 40 hours.  Some commission work available

Position Overview:

Taxi and Shuttle drivers provide passenger assistance and delivery service to designated locations in a safe and efficient manner in the Wenatchee and surrounding areas.  Drivers assist airport passengers in getting from the airport to their destination, loading and unloading luggage and other equipment.  Drivers will also provide information about local events and attractions.  Additionally, drivers perform clerical functions that include answering the phone, scheduling rides, and keeping a daily trip log.  Drivers inspect the general condition of the vehicle and correct or report any maintenance needs.  Drivers are also responsible for keeping vehicles and work areas clean.

Responsibilities:

  • Safely operate vehicles in rural or highly congested urban areas in all types of weather.

  • Assist passengers in and out of the vehicle as needed.

  • Assist passengers with their luggage or other items.

  • Provide information to passengers about local events, activities, and attractions.

  • Arrive on time and stay until duties are completed.

  • Maintain a pleasant and professional attitude and appearance.

  • Answer phone and make changes to the day’s route or take messages.

  • Maintain accurate and legible daily logs.

  • Drive defensively, politely, and obey traffic laws.

  • Inspect and clean vehicles.

  • Other duties and trips as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Clean driving record: 0 tickets or accidents in the last year and 2 or less in the last 5.
  • Friendly, enthusiastic, outgoing, upbeat, and focused on customer service.
  • Desire to work with people:  Tourists and locals alike.
  • Knowledgeable about Wenatchee area, history, events, and businesses.
  • Able to follow company policies and procedures.
  • Able to work alone with a minimum of direct supervision.
  • Must be able to work weekends or late nights.
  • Ability to read a map and locate addresses.
  • Able write legibly with clear descriptions.
  • Able to use a cell phone.
  • Able to use internet and email.
  • Able to lift, push, pull, reach, and bend to assist and secure wheelchairs or other equipment.
  • Current first aid and CPR certification.
  • Non Smoking
  • Hustle.
  • CDL with passenger endorsement is a big plus.
